Shadows & Dust: A Visual Retrospective
Published on January 12, 2026
The streets don’t lie.
While the postcards promise paradise, the real stories are found in the cracks in the pavement and the faces of the people passing by. Over the years, my camera has been my passport through the raw, beating heart of Central America. From the chaotic energy of Guatemala and El Salvador to the quiet, sun-drenched corners of Nicaragua and Costa Rica to opposite ends of Mexico- and even European countries, I’ve always hunted for the grit rather than the gloss.
This collection represents a specific artistic obsession: finding beauty in the mundane and the messy. It is a retrospective of the moments that usually go unnoticed—the texture of a crumbling wall, the interplay of harsh light and deep shadow, and the unguarded resilience of strangers.
As I look back on these images, I am already packing for the next chapter. I am returning to Mexico for the next three months, eager to get back on the pavement, lose myself in the crowds, and add a new layer of depth to this ongoing collection.
Here is the world as I see it: raw, unscripted, and alive.
