We Made It

by Anne Watcher on Saturday February 2nd, 2008 at 7:47am

Bad weather in Texas, oversold flights and delays but we made it successfully to our destination at 11:55 pm on the 31st. Our entry stamp however is stamped February 1st as it was past midnight when we cleared customs. Entry procedure was quick and smooth even though it was busy as three planes had just landed.

Our luggage was there waiting for us, nothing lost. Rick was there waiting for us, (I felt bad, he didn't know the flight was delayed). Quick trip to Norma's and into bed, I was exhausted. All and all our first air travel was good, a little turbulence but didn't bother us.

In the morning we checked out the surroundings. Norma's is gorgeous, everyone is very friendly and helpful. We have two large and one smaller pool, basketball courts, beautiful coconut palms, flowers galore, a hammock and chairs to lounge on and a soon to be going bar/restaurant area.

Villas are clean and comfortable. New ones going up as I write. Now there are about 20 of us here, ours neighbors are from Calgary!!

Our son-in-law Jordan warned us about running into Jessica Simpson in Dallas as we passed through. We guaranteed him that we wouldn't - - - but guess what? We did, in the airport!

Flying in to Alajuela at 11:55 PM. Stunning blue and amber city lights against a black sky
